Born in Queens, New York, Colonel Joseph T. Casey dedicated 30 years of his life to the United States Air Force. He was very proud to serve his country as a pilot and his role at Bikini Island. He became a very dear friend to the Sims family and was known for his love of clubs and gardening. Cactus and Succulents being his favorite, Sims TLC has dedicated the Cactus & Succulent Garden to his memory. With gorgeous varieties of drought-tolerant species, and even some of Joe's personal plants, this garden will allow you to gain a deep appreciation for California native plants.

Sims TLC is home to one of the Inland Empire's largest palm collections. It houses over 100 species of Palm trees, including one of our favorites, the Bismarckia nobilis, a blue palm tree from Madagascar. Only after taking a tour will you understand why this jungle-like garden is favored among tour groups.
